PAD, pioneering event for Art and Design aficionados and collectors, has been reinventing for the past 18 years the Cabinet d’Amateur and the notion of eclecticism, anticipating the esthetic aspirations of its time. Season after season, it offers an intimate cocoon to those who have made decorative arts and design the core of their collection, driven by passion and heritage.

Every edition evolves in aim to create an unprecedented dialogue between modern art, historical and contemporary design and jewellery. This year will give greater room to Primitive Art, and will highlight the vitality of raising such perspectives. The engaging aspect of PAD is its invitation to enter a personal collection, conceived by a selection of local and international art dealers – all of whom are leaders in their fields, eager to address each passionate collector in a unique manner. In this salon, mind is enlivened and imagination is exhilarated, as entering a place where the contemporary taste for 20th and 21st Century decorative art is born.

Événement fondateur pour les amateurs et collectionneurs internationaux d’Art et de Design, le PAD réinvente depuis 18 ans le cabinet d’amateur et l’éclectisme, discernant les aspirations esthétiques et plastiques de son époque pour offrir un écrin intimiste à ceux qui, par héritage et par passion, ont élu les Arts Décoratifs et le Design comme le cœur de leur collection.

Chaque édition évolue pour faire naître des dialogues inédits entre l’Art Moderne, le Design Historique et Contemporain, les Bijoux, les Arts Premiers, et affirmer une personnalité et un point de vue unique de l’Art de Vivre et de Collectionner. Le magnétisme du PAD, c’est l’invitation à pénétrer dans une collection personnelle, conçue par une sélection de marchands français et internationaux, tous plus pertinents dans leurs domaines, pour s’adresser à chaque collectionneur passionné venu du monde entier.

Le PAD propose un parcours exceptionnel du Beau, une résonance stimulante entre les oeuvres mais également entre les spécialités et les personnalités des marchands. Un véritable Salon où l’oeil est sans cesse en alerte, les esprits toujours éveillés, le lieu où se révèle et se construit le goût contemporain pour les Arts Décoratifs des XXème et XXIème siècles.

Someone's candle is a new way of lighting which runs 5 hours 17 minutes 06 seconds in the space. 

As soon as someone presses the start button, it starts lighting up the candle and then it burns as real time. 

It creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere. 

Someone's candle is filmed using a 4K camera and displayed on a 27inch LED display. 

10 limited edition works (different number of each are printed on the USB.) 

It shows a candle reflected in 3 mirrors burning. 

It was designed to show the changing of lighting from candles, to electricity, to a display of a burning candle that could be used for lighting.
