Someone's Window Series
"Someone's Window" is a project about respect.
It all started from my humble wish to capture a moment of inspiration from the perspective of the master of the room.
It is each moment of inspiration and transcendence of time and space that I wish to share with the viewer.
The subjects whose perspective I chose to capture come from various backgrounds, but one thing they share is they are each respectable people in their own right.
My works display the views from the windows of the rooms in which these people spent most of their time in.
By displaying the views from the windows of these individuals, it creates a mood, atmosphere, and environment so that the viewers can experience the same desires that these individuals experienced.
Most people live in a four sided room with one door and possibly a window.
To hang up pictures of windows of different views may be a different approach to decorating the blank walls than the traditional approach of putting up paintings or photographs.
As an Interior designer, I began to design objects to fill up unused space with photography.
By attaching "Someone's window" on the wall instead of paintings, it transports you to a different place and time, or Trompe-l'oeil, and transforms the viewer's disposition and frame of mind.
